About The CSC Sugar
Industry
Other
CSC Sugar, established in 1994, is a prominent supplier and innovator in the sugar industry. It specializes in sugar trading, distribution, and refining.
The company has significantly contributed to the U.S. sugar market by providing raw sugar refineries with essential supplies. It is also one of the largest importers and exporters of refined sugar to and from North America.
History and Growth
In 2009, CSC Sugar introduced Sugaright, a division dedicated to offering sustainable and cost-effective liquid sugar products to the food industry. Sugaright's innovative approach has been widely accepted by major food companies. It emphasizes sustainability, logistics efficiency, and cost management.
This initiative led to the establishment of Sugaright as a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2016.
Micro-Refineries
Sugaright operates micro-refineries strategically placed to build refineries quickly and efficiently. These are located in:
- Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania
- Harrisonburg, Virginia
- Covington, Tennessee
- Dallas, Texas
- El Paso, Texas
This micro-refinery strategy enhances supply chain responsiveness and reduces environmental impact by placing facilities close to key customer locations.
Logistics and Distribution
In addition to refining, Sugaright manages logistics hubs in Cordoba and Juarez, Mexico. It also has port facilities in Houston, Texas; Memphis, Tennessee; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
These logistics operations support an extensive distribution network, ensuring timely and efficient product delivery across North America.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sugaright offers Fairtrade, Bonsucro, and Non-GMO Project Verified cane sugar options. All facilities are SQF3 Certified, adhering to top quality and food safety standards.
Expansion and Facilities
In 2017, CSC Sugar expanded by launching an export/import facility at the Port of Brownsville, Texas. This facility serves as a point for beet sugar export and raw cane sugar import.
It supports the network of liquid sugar refineries and meets the growing demand for non-GMO products in the U.S. market.
