Christian Healthcare Ministries

Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization founded in 1981, offering a biblical alternative to traditional health insurance. The ministry operates as a health cost sharing ministry, enabling members to collectively share medical expenses. This approach embodies the Christian principle of bearing one another's burdens as outlined in Galatians 6:2.

CHM provides four flexible programs tailored to various healthcare needs, offering options that accommodate different levels of coverage and personal preferences.

Programs and Contributions

• CHM Gold: Designed for individuals seeking comprehensive coverage, with a monthly contribution of $255 per unit.
• CHM Silver: Aimed at those desiring moderate coverage, requiring a monthly contribution of $148 per unit.
• CHM Bronze: Ideal for basic coverage, with a monthly contribution of $98 per unit.
• CHM SeniorShare™: Tailored for seniors, offering coverage with a monthly contribution of $115 per unit.

Each program includes essential healthcare services such as telemedicine, inpatient and outpatient hospital incidents, surgeries, maternity care, physical therapy, home healthcare, and incident-related doctor’s office visits and prescriptions.

CHM also offers the optional CHM Plus program for $32 per month, which covers medical bills exceeding the standard $125,000 limit per illness, providing additional financial protection.

Member Benefits and Process

Members have the freedom to choose their healthcare providers without network restrictions, ensuring access to quality care aligned with personal preferences. The process involves selecting a provider, submitting eligible medical bills through the Member Portal, and receiving funds from the CHM community to cover expenses.

• Virtual Care: Access to virtual visits with board-certified doctors through HealthTap, offering same-day or same-week appointments.
• Prescription Care: Resources and tips to save money on prescriptions.
• Complete Surgical Care: Assistance in finding high-quality providers, coordinating care, arranging travel, and paying providers directly for surgical procedures.
• Maternity Care: Support for pregnancy-related expenses, including a $500 discount on Personal Responsibility for members who call within the first 16 weeks of pregnancy.
• Cancer Care: Simplified experience and out-of-pocket savings for cancer treatments, with staff support throughout the cancer journey.
