Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting social justice and enhancing the well-being of Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and other underserved communities in King County and beyond.
Established in 1973, ACRS offers a comprehensive range of behavioral health programs, human services, and civic engagement activities. These are tailored to meet the diverse needs of immigrants, refugees, and American-born individuals in the Pacific Northwest.
Services Offered
- Behavioral Health Programs: ACRS provides individual and family mental health treatment, focusing on serving Asians and Pacific Islanders. Programs also address youth and older adults with a wide array of mental health concerns.
- Substance Use Disorder Services: The organization offers state-certified Substance Use Disorder Treatment programs. Services include outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment, counseling, support groups, and case management to improve physical and mental health and enhance quality of life.
- Employment and Training Services: ACRS provides job placement and retention services such as Vocational English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, job readiness instruction, job search assistance, short-term skills training, career counseling, and case management.
- Food Bank Services: The food bank supports community members in need with regular distribution hours on Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
- Language Access Services: Free language assistance services are offered to individuals whose primary language is not English. This includes qualified interpreters and information written in multiple languages to ensure effective communication and service access.

ACRS operates several locations to serve the community:
- Main Office: 3639 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S, Seattle, WA 98144. This office offers a wide range of services and operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, by appointment only.
- Kent Office: 25720 104th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98030, operating by appointment only.
- Bellevue Offices: Two offices including Therapy Associates at 655 156th Ave SE, Suite 255, and Children, Youth, and Families Program at the same address, Suite 250. Both operate by appointment only.
- Pike Place Food Bank: Located at 1531 Western Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101, operating by appointment on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
- Center Park: 2121 26th Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98144, operating by appointment on Tuesday and Friday.
- Seattle, WA, USA: ACRS' primary location, serving as the central hub for their operations.
