Arc of Acadiana is a dedicated organization committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities across Louisiana. Residential Services

Arc of Acadiana operates 11 community group homes designed to support adults with developmental disabilities in learning the joys and responsibilities of independent living. These homes are staffed by experienced professionals who offer guidance, supervision, and assistance to ensure residents lead fulfilling lives.

Services include transportation, medical assistance, counseling, money management, and social activities.

In-Home Care Services

Through its Personal Care Services (PCS) program, Arc of Acadiana provides personalized in-home care for adults with disabilities and older adults. This program offers support that empowers individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity in the comfort of their own homes.

Services encompass personal care, health support, daily living assistance, companionship, and community engagement.

Day Programs

The organization offers day programs that provide a variety of creative and recreational activities promoting socialization and independence for adults with disabilities. Resale Thrift Stores

Arc of Acadiana operates several resale thrift stores across Louisiana, offering affordable clothing, books, baby items, and household goods. Every purchase supports the organization's mission to assist the intellectually and developmentally disabled community.

The stores also provide life skills and job training to disabled individuals, fostering socialization and employment opportunities.

Community Engagement and Expansion

In March 2025, Arc of Acadiana expanded its presence in Bossier City with a new residential facility, enhancing care for individuals with developmental disabilities in the region.

This facility offers personalized care plans, skilled nursing, and a nurturing environment for adults with disabilities.
