Apparo Academy is a non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to providing specialized early intervention and educational programs for children aged 6 weeks through kindergarten. Located in Augusta, Georgia, the academy offers a unique, inclusive, and integrated setting where children with diverse needs can thrive together.
The academy's mission is to equip children and their families with the necessary skills to realize their potential and achieve success through educational, nursing, and therapeutic services. This holistic approach ensures comprehensive support tailored to individual needs.
In November 2022, Apparo Academy celebrated the completion of a significant expansion. They added a 16,000-square-foot facility adjacent to their original building.
This expansion includes:
- 10 classrooms
- Two therapy pods
- Nursing offices
- A conference room
- Various administrative offices
These enhancements increased their capacity to serve over 100 children daily.
Services Offered
- Early Education Programs: For children from 6 weeks to 7 years old, focusing on individualized, integrative, therapeutic education preparing them for the next stage of life.
- Therapy Clinic Services: Providing speech and language therapy, feeding therapy, occupational therapy, sensory integration therapy, physical therapy, and augmentative and alternative communication lab services for enrolled students and community children.
- Full-Time Nursing Care: On-site nursing provided by a registered nurse from the Children's Hospital of Georgia, ensuring continuous care for children with significant medical and educational challenges.
