Acacia Network is a leading human services organization based in New York City, dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life for underserved communities. Established in 1969, it has grown to become one of the largest Hispanic-led nonprofits in New York State. The organization serves over 150,000 individuals annually through a comprehensive array of integrated, culturally competent, and trauma-informed programs.
Mission and Services
Acacia Network's mission is to partner with communities, lead change, and promote healthy and prosperous individuals and families. To achieve this, the organization offers a diverse range of services across several key areas:
- Primary Care: Provides integrated, culturally responsive care to more than 12,000 patients annually through Federally Qualified Health Centers and primary care clinics serving individuals of all ages.
- Behavioral Health and Addiction Services: Offers outpatient mental health and substance use services, detox and rehabilitation programs, and residential care to support those facing behavioral challenges.
- Housing: Develops, operates, and manages a strong portfolio of affordable and supportive housing across New York State and Puerto Rico, serving low-income and vulnerable households.
- Homeless Services: Serves thousands of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in New York City via transitional housing programs, providing pathways to stable housing.
- Older Adults Services: Supports more than 5,000 older adults through centers in Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens, and Buffalo, with tailored programs for seniors.
- Education and Youth Development: Early childhood, afterschool, and school-based programs serve thousands of students from preschool through high school, fostering educational growth.
- Workforce Development: Through its affiliate Seedco, connects individuals to employment opportunities, workforce training, and access to public benefits.
- Arts and Culture: The affiliate Loisaida, Inc. provides year-round arts programming and produces the annual Loisaida Festival, celebrating cultural heritage.
