ABB maintains a significant presence in the U.S. with nearly 40 manufacturing, distribution, and operational facilities across 20 states. This includes nine major R&D centers. Approximately 80 percent of products sold in the U.S. are manufactured domestically.

Growth and Innovation

Recent years have seen rapid growth in data center demand, now comprising 15% of electrification unit orders. This growth is fueled by the increasing need for infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

Under the leadership of CEO Morten Wierod, who assumed the role in August 2024, ABB focuses on technological innovation and sustainability. The company invests about 4 to 5 percent of annual revenues in research and development to advance technology and improve sustainability in operations.
