Recent Developments in Colorado

In April 2025, 84 Lumber expanded its presence in Colorado by opening a new store in Greeley and a component plant in Fort Collins.

The Greeley store is an 18,324-square-foot facility that includes a lumberyard and serves the Denver metro, southern Denver area, and northern Colorado.

The Fort Collins component plant is a 59,400-square-foot facility manufacturing custom-engineered trusses.

84 Lumber is a privately held, second-generation, woman-owned company. Maggie Hardy serves as the Owner and CEO.

The company is nationally certified through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as woman-owned and operated.

Historical Note

Founder Joseph Hardy passed away in January 2023 at the age of 100. He was known for reinventing the lumber business with a cash-and-carry model focused on contractors.

He was also known for developing the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa.
