Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday, with the possibility of overtime beyond 40 hours per week

Housekeeping Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and coordinating daily cleaning operations within the facility
  • Managing and leading a team of housekeeping staff, assigning tasks and ensuring proper execution
  • Scheduling and coordinating cleaning activities to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards in all housekeeping tasks
  • Conducting regular inspections to monitor and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility
  • Managing inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and ensuring their proper usage
  • Fostering a positive and cooperative work atmosphere within the housekeeping team
  • Upholding and implementing effective housekeeping policies to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
  • Addressing and resolving any housekeeping-related issues or concerns promptly
  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of housekeeping staff, providing feedback and recognition as needed

Housekeeping Supervisor Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or a similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and supervising housekeeping staff
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations related to housekeeping
  • Knowledge of inventory management for cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Strong leadership and management skills to effectively lead and motivate a housekeeping team
  • Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage tasks, schedules and resources
  • Attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently met
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with staff, management and other departments
  • Ability to train and mentor housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and performance
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve any housekeeping-related issues promptly
  • Customer service orientation to contribute to a positive guest experience through cleanliness

Housekeeping Supervisor Education & Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional qualifications in hotel management or a related field are a plus
  • Certification in housekeeping or hospitality management is desirable
  • Training in leadership or management is advantageous
