Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machines, hand washing stations, pot scrubbing stations, and garbage compactors
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and storage areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- Receive deliveries, properly store perishable products, and rotate inventory
- Ensure clean dishes are stored in appropriate areas
- Use chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinsing agents in washing dishes
- Inspect, remove, and stack clean items and send dirty items back for re-washing
- Sort, soak, wash, and rewash silverware
- Empty trash bins and maintain garbage disposal areas
- Clean and mop assigned departmental areas
- Dispose of glass in appropriate containers and recycle cardboard and other materials
