Job Requirements
- valid texas driver's license
- ability to work weekends, holidays, and various days and hours during busy seasons and zoo events
- ability to work after regular work hours
- high school diploma or ged equivalent preferred
- related work experience preferred
- ability to follow safety rules and regulations
- ability to work in close proximity to dangerous animals
- ability to lift and move furniture and equipment

Job Duties
- perform custodial and janitorial duties in city facilities
- maintain attractive, sanitary, and safe facilities for city staff and public
- clean floors, walls, and windows using manual and power equipment
- empty trash receptacles
- move furniture and equipment
- assist with set up and take down of special equipment for zoo events
- clean and disinfect restrooms
- sanitize toilets, sinks, and fixtures
- restock restroom supplies
- follow all safety rules and regulations
- clean up spills and unsafe conditions in a timely manner
- report safety hazards, equipment problems, repair needs, security issues, and emergency situations
- work in close proximity to dangerous animals when required
- work after regular hours and during zoo sponsored events
- perform other related duties as assigned
- support the relationship between the city of waco and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior
