Job Requirements
- Current resident of Wisconsin
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
- Able to work independently as well as in a group
- Able to follow directions and written instructions
- Basic knowledge of all related computer and software applications including e-mail, county intranet, time recording system, and employee self-service
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs

- Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
- Able to work independently as well as in a group
- Able to follow directions and written instructions
- Basic knowledge of all related computer and software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets including e-mail, county intranet, time recording system, and employee self-service
- One or more years of institutional cleaning experience preferred
Job Duties
- Work as a team member or independently to perform a variety of cleaning duties in public and office areas at the Milwaukee County Zoo
- Follow work orders to set up chairs, tables, risers, stages, and podiums for internal and external events held at the Zoo
- Sweep, mop, wax, and buff all hard surface floors
- Vacuum and extract carpeted floors
- Train seasonal Zoo Workers how to correctly use equipment, how and what to clean, as well as what products to use
- Lock buildings on second shift, unlock doors as needed on day shift
- May be asked to assist the Night Keeper in emergencies
- May be asked to assist the Grounds department with snow removal and salting walks
- Operate utility cart, pickup truck, floor cleaning equipment, power washer, and window washing equipment safely and properly
- Perform all other duties as assigned
