Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- availability to work at least five shifts per week including weekends
- ability to work evening shifts between 4 pm and 11 pm and possibly transition to daytime shifts
- capable of standing and moving in a fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of line cook experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred but not required
- excellent relations with all staff
- reputable for maintaining a safe and clean kitchen
- experience in Asian cooking is a plus but not required
- ability to work weekends and Sundays
- willingness to learn and improve
- passionate about great food, service and restaurant finance
- strong attendance record
- well organized and system oriented
- detail-oriented
- excel at giving and receiving constructive feedback

Job Duties
- Work on the line under the direction of the chef and expo making sure the stations are set up correctly, cook accurately adhering to the spec, communicate with the expo and the team members often and early to ensure smooth service, calm under pressure
- prepare food according to recipes accurately weighing out ingredients to standards as needed
- efficiently and accurately clean equipment
- follow and uphold all of Zingerman's standards
- ensure that all food meets quality and presentation standards
- complete Training Passport within the stated timeframes and continue to live the Training Compact
- build and maintain Standard Operations Procedures as trained and needed
- maintain proper station set up and a clean and organized work area
- effectively communicate and work with all staff at Miss Kim
- taste everything on the station for spec and taste dishes for spec
