Job Requirements
- Full-time availability, 40 hours per week with shifts between 5am-3pm
- Weekend availability required
- Full availability during November and December
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during shifts
- Physical ability to stand, bend, twist, push, and pull for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with high levels of coordination, mobility, and dexterity
- Willingness to engage in an active, physical job
- Prior experience in cooking and team leadership
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of professional cooking experience
- At least one year of experience leading a team
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with leadership support
- Experience in food preparation and production
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
Job Duties
- Learn to make and participate in the preparation of all menu items and components made each day
- Plan daily and weekly production lists, delegate tasks to team members, and problem solve as necessary to ensure on-time delivery
- Train and supervise staff members in executing all products and recipes in accordance with SOP’s, time goals, and food safety guidelines, providing timely, constructive, and regular feedback to the team
- Regularly taste and evaluate the quality and flavor of food while providing feedback and instruction to the team
- Support the manager in ordering and management of the inventory of ingredients
- Share feedback with managers on daily performance of the team and ways to improve
- Communicate with manager and other leaders to coordinate shared equipment, ordering, workspace, and staff sharing as needed
- Complete Orientation and Supervisor Passport training programs
- Model great service and direct communication
- Assist in annual planning process and completion of annual goals
- Assist in managing labor cost and food cost plans and goals
