Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of professional cooking experience
  • At least one year of team leadership experience
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Availability for 8 hour shifts between 5am and 3pm
  • Weekend availability required
  • Full availability during November and December
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during an 8 hour shift
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, twist, push, and pull for an entire shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with coordination and dexterity

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of professional cooking experience
  • At least one year of experience leading a team
  • Ability to perform all department tasks
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently with leadership support
  • Ability to multi-task and lead others while performing own tasks
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Experience in cooking and food production
  • Experience leading a team

Job Duties

  • Learn to make and participate in the preparation of all menu items and components made each day
  • Plan daily and weekly production lists, delegate tasks to team members, and problem solve as necessary to ensure on-time delivery
  • Train and supervise staff members in executing all products and recipes in accordance with SOP's, time goals, and food safety guidelines, providing timely, constructive, and regular feedback to the team
  • Regularly taste and evaluate the quality and flavor of food while providing feedback and instruction to the team
  • Support the manager in ordering and inventory management of ingredients
  • Share feedback with managers on daily team performance and ways to improve
  • Communicate with manager and other leaders to coordinate shared equipment, workspaces, and staff sharing
  • Complete Supervisor Passport training
  • Model great service and direct communication
  • Assist in annual planning process and completion of goals
  • Manage labor cost and food cost plans/goals
