Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of professional cooking experience
- At least one year of team leadership experience
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
- Availability for 8 hour shifts between 5am and 3pm
- Weekend availability required
- Full availability during November and December
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during an 8 hour shift
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, twist, push, and pull for an entire shift
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with coordination and dexterity
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of professional cooking experience
- At least one year of experience leading a team
- Ability to perform all department tasks
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Ability to self-manage and work independently with leadership support
- Ability to multi-task and lead others while performing own tasks
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Experience in cooking and food production
- Experience leading a team
Job Duties
- Learn to make and participate in the preparation of all menu items and components made each day
- Plan daily and weekly production lists, delegate tasks to team members, and problem solve as necessary to ensure on-time delivery
- Train and supervise staff members in executing all products and recipes in accordance with SOP's, time goals, and food safety guidelines, providing timely, constructive, and regular feedback to the team
- Regularly taste and evaluate the quality and flavor of food while providing feedback and instruction to the team
- Support the manager in ordering and inventory management of ingredients
- Share feedback with managers on daily team performance and ways to improve
- Communicate with manager and other leaders to coordinate shared equipment, workspaces, and staff sharing
- Complete Supervisor Passport training
- Model great service and direct communication
- Assist in annual planning process and completion of goals
- Manage labor cost and food cost plans/goals
