Job Requirements
- must be authorized to work for any employer in the u.s.
- able to stand, sit, crouch, bend, reach, lift, and carry items weighing up to 66 pounds
- must listen to and follow instructions of supervisors and managers
- must maintain a neat and clean work area
- must adhere to food safety rules regarding rest and meal periods
- must be prepared for working in outdoor field conditions including exposure to weather ranging from 30 to over 100 degrees fahrenheit
- work schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- able to work 40 hours per week
- seasonal full-time availability from november 5, 2025 to april 14, 2026
Job Qualifications
- ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- physical stamina to perform heavy labor including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- basic knowledge of harvesting methods preferred
- capability to operate machinery buttons under guidance
- teamwork and communication skills
- no previous experience required
Job Duties
- harvest produce by walking in assigned furrows beside harvesting machines
- select size and quality of produce as specified by supervisor
- bend and grasp selected produce and cut it using a harvesting knife
- trim produce according to supervisor specifications
- discard produce that does not meet quality standards
- insert trimmed produce into packaging or place on tables for taping or packing
- tape, clip, and pack products
- operate harvest machine buttons including speed control, wing lift, water supply, and emergency kill switch
- assist machine operators with safety monitoring and machine operations
- move cartons weighing 32-66 pounds
- clean fields by removing debris and trash
- stand on harvest machine platform to close, seal, and move packed cartons for loading
