Job Requirements
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Ability to stand sit crouch bend reach lift and carry up to 66 pounds
- Ability to follow instructions from row bosses forepersons supervisors and managers
- Willingness to maintain work area cleanliness and property respect
- Must take rest and meal periods in assigned area unless off-site elected
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions such as mud dust wind heat and cold
- Prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear for environmental conditions
Job Qualifications
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and forepersons
- Capable of working as part of a team
- No prior experience required
- Basic understanding of safety norms and harvesting procedures
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work full-time seasonal hours
Job Duties
- Harvest produce by walking in assigned furrows behind or in front of a harvesting machine platform or harvesting cart selecting size and quality of the produce
- Bend and grasp selected produce and cut it from roots or stalks using a harvesting knife
- Trim product as per supervisor specifications
- Discard produce that does not meet quality standards
- Insert trimmed produce into packaging or place on table for taping/clipping/packing
- Work as a Button Operator on harvest machines controlling speed and safety
- Move cartons weighing 32-66 pounds as required
- Clean up fields by picking up trash and debris
- Stand on harvest platform to close cartons and seal finished products with tape or locking lids
