Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- possession of a current valid driver's license with no liability concerns such as reckless or careless driving or impaired driving convictions
- ability to operate a 12-passenger van with wheelchair lift and tow a trailer
- ability to obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification (CPI) within 180 days
- ability to obtain a valid Michigan Chauffeur License within 14 days of hire
- ability to obtain Basic First Aid and CPR certifications within 60 days
- minimum of six months experience working with youth and at-risk populations
- ability to respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently
- ability to clearly communicate procedures and policies
- ability to work various shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays
- This is an at-will position with work schedules subject to change
- must meet minimum position requirements
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- current valid driver's license with a clean driving history
- ability to operate a 12-passenger van with wheelchair lift and tow a trailer
- ability to obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Certification within 180 days
- ability to obtain a valid Michigan Chauffeur License within 14 days of hire
- basic First Aid and CPR (Adult & Infant) certifications within 60 days
- minimum six months experience working with youth and at-risk populations, one year preferred
- ability to respond calmly and efficiently to emergencies
- clear communication skills
- organizational skills
- knowledge of facilities, equipment, and supplies related to assigned area
- flexibility to work various shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Operate township vehicles and safely transport program participants
- present a professional image in person and by telephone
- detect and report property and equipment defects
- ensure safety rules, policies, regulations, and procedures are followed
- enforce departmental rules, regulations, operating procedures and policies
- assist in planning, supervising, and coordinating teen programs, participants, and activities
- coordinate setup, teardown and cleanup of programs and events
- respond to, communicate, and document emergency situations and incidents including First Aid, CPR, Severe Weather and Missing Child events
- maintain facility and equipment appearance and cleanliness
- assume lead worker responsibilities for events and activities as assigned
- perform other duties as assigned
