Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and pass Motor Vehicle background check and TSA driver training course
- Ability to work independently and with other staff members
- Ability to work and conduct oneself in a professional manner
- Ability to utilize office and ministry equipment adequately
- Ability to keep work area organized and manage time effectively
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to complete necessary reports in a timely manner
Job Qualifications
- Two or more years of leadership experience, preferred
- Two or more years of experience in Salvation Army programs, preferred
- Applicable higher education degree, preferred
- Must possess thorough working knowledge of Salvation Army doctrine
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate outreach programs
- Understanding and adherence to all necessary Child Safety policies
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Working knowledge of web applications such as Facebook, Google Calendar, and social media programs
- Working knowledge of integrated database applications
Job Duties
- Provide direct oversight and leadership to After the Bell program and staff
- Plan and implement the Christian education component at Camp Gifford for eight weeks during the summer
- Engage campers through letters, phone calls, and visits to invite them to Corps youth programs
- Plan special events aimed at inviting campers to summer camp and recruiting SALT participants
- Participate in Spokane Citadel ministry team planning meetings
- Attend and contribute to the weekly managers meeting
- Participate in Divisional Youth events as assigned by Corps Officer
