Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum of 1 year experience working with school aged youth
  • knowledge of youth development
  • ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • pass criminal background check
  • pass negative TB test
  • ability to stand for a minimum of five hours daily
  • ability to adapt to high energy work environment
  • completion of school district requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • minimum of 1 year experience working directly with school aged youth
  • knowledge of youth development principles
  • experience in program planning, instruction, implementation, and assessment
  • proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, internet research, and social media
  • ability to effectively communicate with youth, parents, staff, volunteers, and community partners
  • experience in tutoring and mentoring youth
  • ability to motivate, engage, and manage behavioral challenges
  • strong work ethic with responsibility and accountability
  • ability to be active and stand for extended periods
  • adaptability to a dynamic work environment
  • aptitude to manage behavior problems and respond to emergency, safety, and disciplinary situations
  • completion of any school district requirements

Job Duties

  • Create an environment at the club that facilitates youth development outcomes
  • provide positive behavior guidance to support developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs of members
  • coordinate assigned programs and cooperative learning activities that are fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate
  • plan, lead, monitor and evaluate programs ensuring safety, quality, and cultural inclusivity
  • set up and clean program materials daily
  • supervise members in the program area maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere
  • maintain accurate attendance and progress records and prepare reports
  • cultivate positive relationships with members, parents, staff, volunteers, and community partners
  • ensure equipment is safe and members are instructed in its proper use
  • maintain and organize club space ensuring cleanliness and safety
  • perform janitorial and maintenance duties as needed
  • attend and participate in staff trainings
  • perform other duties as assigned
