Job Requirements
- open to candidates ages 14 and older
- ability to work up to 29 hours per week on an as-needed basis
- availability for shifts Monday through Friday between 6:30 am and 3:00 pm
- willingness to complete CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse prevention training within 90 days of hire
- commitment to the core YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
Job Qualifications
- prior experience working in an early childhood or educational setting is a plus
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours
- commitment to embodying YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
- CPR and First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training will be completed within 90 days of hire
Job Duties
- being a positive role model for the children and assuring quality care
- overseeing feeding, playtime, educational activities, rest periods, bathroom breaks and diaper changing
- upholding child safety by adhering to safety and security procedures
- providing active observation and effective communication with teachers and parents
