Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate well in English
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to interact professionally with superiors, co-workers, and members
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Florida driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work long and unusual hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Coursework in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of childcare or youth program experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members
- CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Job Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children in the Youth Activity Center at all times
- Plan, organize, and participate in age-appropriate activities such as crafts, games, storytelling, and educational play
- Assist with the coordination and execution of youth programs, special events, and seasonal camps
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming play environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and Club staff regarding activities, schedules, and child needs
- Uphold all Club policies and procedures, including safety and emergency protocols
- Provide attentive, positive, and caring interaction with each child to create a fun and memorable experience
