Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • ability to obtain and maintain any required government licenses or permits
  • maintain neat, clean, and well groomed appearance
  • ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, lift up to 50 pounds, and push or pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds occasionally
  • manual dexterity for kitchen equipment and office equipment use
  • ability to exert well paced physical effort in limited space
  • regular attendance
  • compliance with company rules and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Cook level or higher
  • prior experience preferred
  • experience in a full service restaurant or hotel resort restaurant desired
  • ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary workplace language
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • basic computational ability
  • knowledge of The Ranch operations, services, and facilities
  • ability to read and follow recipes
  • ability to set up, maintain, and breakdown buffet displays

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
  • follow instructions from executive or sous chef
  • clean up station and handle leftover food appropriately
  • stock inventory as needed
  • ensure food quality, timely delivery, and simultaneous plating
  • comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
