Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent education required
- ability to obtain and maintain any required government licenses or permits
- maintain neat, clean, and well groomed appearance
- ability to work in extreme temperatures
- ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, lift up to 50 pounds, and push or pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds occasionally
- manual dexterity for kitchen equipment and office equipment use
- ability to exert well paced physical effort in limited space
- regular attendance
- compliance with company rules and regulations
Job Qualifications
- Certified Cook level or higher
- prior experience preferred
- experience in a full service restaurant or hotel resort restaurant desired
- ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary workplace language
- good verbal and written communication skills
- basic computational ability
- knowledge of The Ranch operations, services, and facilities
- ability to read and follow recipes
- ability to set up, maintain, and breakdown buffet displays
Job Duties
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
- cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
- follow instructions from executive or sous chef
- clean up station and handle leftover food appropriately
- stock inventory as needed
- ensure food quality, timely delivery, and simultaneous plating
- comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards
- maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
