Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand labels and instructions on cleaning chemicals and products
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment
- Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Time management skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects and operating cleaning machinery
Job Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Cleans assigned facilities and grounds for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment
- Performs minor job-related maintenance on custodial equipment, classroom furniture and fixtures
- Performs summer maintenance such as stripping and waxing floors, moving furniture, and painting
- Prepares site for daily operations including opening gates, raising flags, and sweeping walkways
- Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies to ensure adequate quantities for daily use
- Responds to immediate safety and operational concerns such as facility damage, vandalism and alarms
- Performs work at heights of up to 12 feet using ladders and scaffolding for cleaning, changing light bulbs, and replacing ceiling tiles
