Job Duties
- Engage actively while supervising groups of children indoors and outdoors
- implement curriculum provided by the Program Director including setting up interest centers and gross motor activities
- assist Site Director in maintaining daily attendance reports, assigned records and routine clerical tasks
- coordinate transition of supervision between school day and parent pickup ensuring proper sign in/out and transportation records
- ensure all state requirements are met if assigned to transportation duties including supervision and bus logs
- greet and integrate participants and prepare children for parent pickup assisting with supplies and sign in/out
- assist Site Director with housekeeping tasks including sanitizing and disinfecting YBASE areas to maintain health and safety
- distribute snacks and meals in accordance with Second Harvest and YMCA regulations including maintaining accurate meal counts and submitting reports
- treat participants, families and staff with fairness, dignity and respect
- uphold YMCA standards of professionalism in conduct, dress and decorum
- participate in program feedback initiatives and family engagement events
- report suspicions of child abuse and neglect as a Mandated Reporter and provide documentation
- attend all staff meetings and training programs as directed
- follow and maintain YBASE policies and procedures
- maintain state and YMCA training hour requirements annually
- perform other duties as assigned
- assist in retaining YMCA members through appropriate customer service
- assist in the Annual Campaign fundraising program
