Job Requirements

  • Must be qualified on NORAC operating rules, air brake, train handling (AMT-3), and safety instruction for T&E (AMT-5)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Pass pre-employment background check including drug screening and criminal history check
  • Consent to drug and alcohol testing per DOT regulations
  • Must meet federal security clearance requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be qualified on NORAC operating rules, air brake, train handling (AMT-3), and safety instruction for T&E (AMT-5)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Associates degree in transportation or equivalent education, training, and work experience preferred
  • Some experience in train operations preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee assigned yard operations including employee and train movements
  • Coordinate equipment setup with Mechanical Department and CNOC
  • Ensure employees are fit and crews report with the required number of members
  • Manage train make-up and dispatch trains at prescribed times
  • Monitor safety compliance within the yard
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Enforce operational policies and procedures
