Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- six months experience in construction or construction products related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- valid driver's license
- ability to obtain forklift and loader certification within a reasonable time after hire
- reliable attendance
- ability to follow company safety program and policies
- physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 125 feet
- ability to work flexible and irregular hours
- willingness to perform maintenance and operate equipment
- good communication skills
- ability to work safely in a hazardous environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- six months experience in a construction and/or construction products related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- previous experience operating construction machinery or equipment such as forklift, pallet loaders, lift truck, and front-end loader is preferred
- valid driver's license
- forklift and loader certification, or ability to complete requirements of the program and pass the test in a reasonable period after hire
- ability to develop a good working knowledge of materials and meet required specifications
- mechanical inclination to support maintenance roles
- ability to distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions in the yard and plant area
- capable of learning and operating a computerized batch processing system
- good sense of detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe yard and plant environment
- flexibility to work during busy season and late or irregular hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb to heights of 125 feet
Job Duties
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant through maintenance, inspection and repair of the equipment and operating conditions
- perform daily cleaning of areas by sweeping and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- load product and materials
- assure appropriate tickets are written for orders according to requirements
- operate a front-end loader or fork-lift according to requirements of the current need
- work with appropriate personnel to identify and plan daily operations
- perform other duties as assigned
