Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • College degree preferred
  • Experience in luxury hotel or resort setting preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently carry objects up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
  • Able to perform tasks requiring reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing
  • Ability to maintain professionalism during emergencies and heavy hotel activity
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Degree in hospitality or hotel management preferred
  • Experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and payment processing
  • Customer service oriented mindset

Job Duties

  • Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving guest information
  • Confirm number of guests and room rates
  • Assign rooms based on guest needs
  • Code electronic keys and non-verbally confirm room details
  • Provide welcome packets to guests including room keys and tokens of appreciation
  • Ensure rooms and services are correctly accounted for in guest statements
  • Assist guests with payments and check-out
  • Accept and record various forms of payment including vouchers and foreign currency conversion
  • Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • Respond accurately to guest inquiries about hotel services and amenities
  • Field guest complaints and research effective solutions
  • Negotiate resolutions for guest issues
  • Remain calm and alert during emergencies and busy hotel periods
  • Implement detailed action plans using experience and discretion
