Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • capable of navigating electronic devices including computers, fax machines, printers, and timeclock
  • working knowledge of ground support equipment maintenance issues
  • experience and understanding of commercial issues in aviation
  • must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • able to proficiently speak, read, and write English
  • basic computer literacy
  • previous ramp or airline experience required
  • must clear an FBI fingerprint background check
  • physically fit to perform job duties including standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
  • capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
  • willing to work outside in all weather conditions and loud noise environment
  • must successfully complete all training and certification requirements
  • able to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • must comply with company’s drug-free workplace policies
  • employment contingent upon clear driving record and 10-year criminal history check

  • must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications

  • ability to comply with security and safety protocols
  • excellent communication skills
  • operational knowledge of air cargo handling

Job Duties

  • Report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • ensure cargo agents wear personal protective equipment and are ready to perform duties
  • provide input on operational improvements and efficiencies
  • report flight delays and performance feedback to leadership
  • address security issues and conduct meetings
  • perform under pressure within fixed time constraints
  • ensure cargo agents adhere to uniform standards
  • load and unload air cargo on and off aircraft, carts, containers, and trucks
  • transport cargo between terminals and aircraft including receiving, delivering, weighing, and documenting
  • prepare and palletize cargo
  • complete cargo documents and forms as per airline requirements
  • assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
  • follow dangerous goods requirements and regulations
  • comply with company procedures and policies
  • pick-up and deliver cargo according to designated areas
  • perform other duties as assigned
