Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Hold and maintain applicable certifications including Food Handlers Alcohol Awareness CPR and First Aid
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Able to work well in stressful high pressure situations
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Effective in handling workplace problems including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems
  • Ability to assimilate complex information data from disparate sources and adjust or modify to meet needs
  • Effective at listening understanding clarifying and resolving concerns and issues of co-workers and guests
  • Able to work with and understand financial information data and basic arithmetic functions

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • A 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience or a 4-year college degree and 1 to 2 years of related experience or a Culinary Degree with 1 to 2 years of progressive experience
  • Holds and maintains applicable certifications including Food Handlers Alcohol Awareness CPR and First Aid
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Able to work well in stressful high pressure situations
  • Maintains composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Effective in handling workplace problems including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems
  • Ability to assimilate complex information data from disparate sources and adjust or modify to meet needs

Job Duties

  • Assist in providing oversight of kitchen staff outlets banquet food display merchandising and operations of Kitchen and Banquet departments
  • Work towards improving Cafe Room Service Lounge and Banquet sales revenues to exceed budget in partnership with F&B Director and staff
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel organization and functions of each department
  • Communicate in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist F&B Director with forecasting and budgeting
  • Promote professional working relationships and open lines of communication with managers employees and other departments
  • Stay knowledgeable and aware of local competition and industry trends
