Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in laundry or hotel housekeeping preferred
- Ability to operate laundry machines safely
- Knowledge of chemical handling and labeling policies
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work Monday to Friday with weekend availability
- Must be physically capable of performing manual laundry duties
- Ability to wear uniform and nametag as per company policy
- Must adhere to hotel safety and security procedures
- Able to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Willingness to participate in training and skill development
- Reliable and punctual
- Pass background and reference checks if required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or laundry services is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and chemical handling
- Ability to follow safety procedures and chemical policies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and work well in a team
- Physically able to perform laundry duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and participate in training
- Basic inventory management skills
Job Duties
- Washes, dries, and folds hotel linens according to laundry equipment and chemical specifications
- Assists in stripping soiled linens from guest rooms
- Stocks fresh linens in appropriate areas
- Ensures proper maintenance and security of laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and chemical dispensing systems
- Uses cleaning supplies and chemicals correctly and ensures proper labeling according to chemical policy
- Keeps the laundry area clean and lint free, cleans lint traps daily
- Assists in monthly inventory of linens and disposes of linens not meeting company standards, maintaining disposal records
- Provides excellent customer service and conducts oneself professionally, observes company’s 10-4 rule, addresses guest requests immediately
- Adheres to uniform and grooming policies including wearing a uniform and nametag
- Communicates with supervisors and co-workers regarding linen status and maintenance issues
- Ensures safety and security by following hotel key control procedures and emergency plans, participates in emergency training, observes confidentiality, uses safe lifting procedures, and reports incidents
- Offers input and ideas on hotel operation and participates in training and skill development
- Completes other tasks as requested by supervisors including training new associates
- Performs all other duties as assigned
