Job Requirements
- A JD or equivalent legal degree
- Licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and providing comments on word documents
- Commitment to professionalism and inclusion
- Ability to provide effective feedback and coaching
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced environment
- Ability to listen, understand, and solve student learning concerns
Job Qualifications
- A JD or equivalent legal degree
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and providing comments on word documents
- Licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction
- Experience in higher education, teaching, instructional design, cognitive science, or counseling preferred
- Licensed to practice law in Colorado preferred
- Preference for applicants who took and passed the Colorado Bar Exam in the past three years
- Preference for applicants who participated in the DU Bar Success Program
Job Duties
- Work closely with and support the Program Director and Assistant Director
- Provide individualized feedback on bar exam essays and performance tests submitted by students
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to assist students in improving their written answers
- Use feedforward techniques to help students enhance their writing skills
- Collaborate with the DU Bar Success team to ensure alignment and effectiveness of the program
- Attend and contribute to program-related meetings and workshops
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and feedback
