Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of experience in occupational health and safety or related fields
  • Minimum five years of experience delivering training and professional consultation
  • Professional certifications such as OSHA 500/501, Train-the-Trainer, Defensive Driving Instructor preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations
  • Ability to travel with valid driver’s license, personal transportation, and auto insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manage travel demands
  • Willingness to work on-call hours and flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Federal OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations
  • On-the-job teaching experience in safety-related subjects
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical safety procedures
  • Effective presentation skills for diverse audiences
  • Experience teaching various safety training courses
  • Minimum 1-15 years of training experience depending on instructor level
  • Ability to develop and deliver course curriculum
  • Certified in safety designations like ASP, OHST, CSP, CHST preferred
  • Professional consultation experience in safety programs

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with workplace safety staff to adapt training programs to client needs
  • Coordinate scheduling, training materials, travel, and accommodations
  • Collect and deliver class paperwork promptly
  • Confirm class schedules and requirements with clients before sessions
  • Provide feedback to identify training improvement opportunities
  • Participate in quality monitoring and performance coaching
  • Submit timely expense reports and record work hours
  • Participate in ongoing training and complete recertification requirements
