Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of company orientation and food safety training
- Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to work with customers attentively
- Ability to lift 50 lbs for bakery or 55 lbs for deli and manage heavier weights with assistance
- Willingness to perform department-specific duties and maintain sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service
- Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
- Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
- Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
- Slice, package, label, rotate, and cull products for poor quality
- Assist in technical areas such as basic set-up and clean-up
- Use suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to build sales
- Clean and sanitize display cases
- Operate and maintain equipment properly
- Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- Record production and shrink for bakery
- Assist in baking, frying, and decorating in bakery
- Take care of service counter customers in deli
- Use ordering system applications and Fresh Production Planner
- Perform inventory management
- Prepare catering orders
- Perform sanitation and maintenance for deli slicers
- Serve and package prepared foods
- Educate customers on prepared food reheating instructions
- Prepare condiments
- Cut, slice, dice, and chop food for chefs
