Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years old
- must be willing to work evening and weekend shifts
- must obtain TAPS alcohol server certificate and Alaska Food Worker card within first shift if not already certified
- ability to lift or maneuver heavy objects
- pass a background check
- applicant must be a UA student with minimum 6 credits per semester and minimum GPA of 2.0 or newly enrolled student
Job Qualifications
- enrolled as a UA student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester or a newly enrolled student
- minimum GPA of 2.0
- current or obtained alchohol server education certificate (TAPS)
- current or obtained Alaska Food Worker card
- prior experience with live sound reinforcement preferred for Pub Sound Technician role
- strong communication skills
- ability to work evening and weekend hours
- ability to work independently and in a team environment
Job Duties
- serve drinks and engage with students and staff at the Pub
- enforce state laws and university policies regarding alcohol service
- handle money responsibly during transactions
- assist with planning and implementation of events and activities
- maintain daily operations and cleanliness of the Pub
- adapt to changing workloads and work cooperative with other employees
- provide sound reinforcement and operate sound equipment during live events
