Job Requirements
- Ability to walk and stand for entire shifts
- ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40lbs
- ability to move quickly and gracefully throughout the dining room
- wear closed toe, non-canvas, non-skid soled shoes
- maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- comply with Marriott's safety and sanitation policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a barback or similar role preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in foodservice
- familiarity with basic computer operations for ordering and inventory
- ability to learn menu items, glassware types, and service procedures quickly
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- punctuality and reliable attendance
Job Duties
- Assist bartenders, servers, and hosts in properly serving food and beverages when requested
- clear, clean, and reset bar areas to maintain sanitation standards
- crumb tables as directed by servers
- transport dirty tableware from dining areas to dish drop zones
- maintain bar stock and cleanliness throughout shifts
- wipe down bars and chairs, move tables and clean floors as necessary
- maintain an organized and visually appealing bar station
- respond promptly and graciously to guest service issues and escalate to servers or management
- perform special cleaning projects such as dusting and polishing
- maintain communication and teamwork with coworkers and supervisors
- conduct oneself professionally within guest view
