Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • bartending training and certification
  • TIPS certification
  • minimum 2 years of experience in a similar job
  • ability to lift, push, pull and carry 20-40 lbs daily
  • ability to bend and assist in serving
  • mobility to cover 95 percent of the shift in all outlet areas
  • ability to read, speak and write English
  • ability to accurately count cash and operate cash register
  • high level of organization and multitasking ability
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bartending training and certification

Job Duties

  • Circulate through the assigned area, recommend and serve wine to guests
  • manage the daily activities necessary for maintenance and promotion of the organization’s wine collection
  • ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • increase revenue by training team members to up-sell and other suggestive procedures
  • decrease expenses through proper handling of product and other suggestive procedures
  • work with the culinary team to develop food and wine pairings
  • identify and purchase wines for the organization
  • monitor the conditions of the wine cellar, ensuring optimal storage
  • follow and practice all alcoholic beverage laws, policies and regulations
  • maintain a clean and safe work area
  • perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction
  • may perform other duties as assigned
