Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three months experience in cash handling and customer service
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Capability to multitask effectively
  • Skilled in tact and understanding handling customer service situations
  • Ability to handle coins, writing utensils, and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to stand and be active throughout a shift
  • Vision ability to read in dim lighting
  • Willingness to work in an indoor environment with standing and walking duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience of at least 3 months in cash handling and customer service
  • High school level mathematical aptitude
  • Knowledge of standard cash handling procedures
  • Familiarity with computerized cash register systems
  • Basic customer service skills
  • Understanding of restaurant operations and food service principles

Job Duties

  • Meet arriving customers with a cordial greeting
  • Escort guests to assigned tables and issue menus
  • Assign sections and notify servers of new guests
  • Maintain a visible presence to assist servers and respond to customer requests
  • Receive payments and process transactions using a computerized cash register
  • Verify the accuracy of guest checks including pricing, discounts, and payment methods
  • Ensure all charge vouchers are completed and authorized
  • Elicit and document customer feedback to improve service
  • Maintain a clean restaurant and assist with general cleaning and sidework
  • Report maintenance or housekeeping issues promptly
