Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 30-35 pounds multiple times per shift
  • Ability to kneel during inspections and lifting tasks
  • Full mobility to inspect and monitor kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand continuously for up to an hour or more totaling at least 50% of the day
  • Ability to work in varied temperature environments from -10 degrees in freezers to over 100 degrees on the front line
  • Compliance with all federal, state, corporate and franchise safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • More than two years of post high school education but less than a four-year college degree
  • Five to ten years of relevant experience in kitchen management or related position
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Moderate hearing and speech communication skills
  • Excellent vision and literacy skills
  • Ability to analyze and fulfill budget requirements

Job Duties

  • Plan and manage kitchen staff in procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food
  • Manage long and short term planning and day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Recommend menu and procedural changes
  • Recommend budget and manage food and labor costs within approved constraints
  • Hire, train, develop, coach and counsel kitchen associates and managers
  • Ensure kitchen maintenance and sanitation meet all safety and regulatory standards
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and control costs
  • Implement menus and backup processes within corporate guidelines
  • Promote and execute Accident Prevention Program
