Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 30-35 pounds multiple times per shift
- Ability to kneel during inspections and lifting tasks
- Full mobility to inspect and monitor kitchen environment
- Ability to stand continuously for up to an hour or more totaling at least 50% of the day
- Ability to work in varied temperature environments from -10 degrees in freezers to over 100 degrees on the front line
- Compliance with all federal, state, corporate and franchise safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- More than two years of post high school education but less than a four-year college degree
- Five to ten years of relevant experience in kitchen management or related position
- Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Moderate hearing and speech communication skills
- Excellent vision and literacy skills
- Ability to analyze and fulfill budget requirements
Job Duties
- Plan and manage kitchen staff in procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food
- Manage long and short term planning and day-to-day kitchen operations
- Recommend menu and procedural changes
- Recommend budget and manage food and labor costs within approved constraints
- Hire, train, develop, coach and counsel kitchen associates and managers
- Ensure kitchen maintenance and sanitation meet all safety and regulatory standards
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and control costs
- Implement menus and backup processes within corporate guidelines
- Promote and execute Accident Prevention Program
