Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Graduate student in good standing at the University of Michigan
  • English proficiency verified by the English Language Institute if undergraduate instruction was not in English
  • Ability to attend scheduled lectures and lab discussions
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Canvas
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to support student projects and grading
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching practices

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MS Office and Canvas
  • Knowledge of human impacts on Earth's natural systems
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Current graduate student in good standing at the University of Michigan
  • English proficiency verified by the English Language Institute if applicable
  • Prior experience in ENVIRON 110 or 111 or equivalent desirable
  • Demonstrated expertise and interest in environmental science
  • Advanced technology skills
  • Strong knowledge of ArcGIS

Job Duties

  • Lab activities development
  • 2 weekly lab sections with grading
  • Student project support and evaluation
  • Exam preparation and grading
  • Attend lectures and discussions as scheduled
  • Communicate effectively with students
  • Utilize ArcGIS and other software for instructional purposes
