- Knowledge of domestic and imported wines, flavor profiles, and industry trends
- Ability to pass a wine knowledge test once employed
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic math skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Retail experience, preferably in wine, beer, or specialty products

Job Duties
- Promote trust and respect among associates and encourage teamwork
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and offering product suggestions
- Maintain strong knowledge of wines, including imported and domestic varieties, flavor profiles, and production methods
- Offer wine samples in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- Inform customers of wine specials and recommend pairings with meats, cheeses, desserts, and other products
- Collaborate with store chefs on wine tastings and promotional programs
- Ensure cases and coolers maintain proper temperatures and complete logs as required
