Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- two or more years’ experience in a premium winery tasting room, hospitality or retail sales position preferred
- availability to work weekends, special events, and holidays
- enthusiasm for wine and interest in expanding expertise
- service driven with superior customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills
- friendly, positive and professional disposition when dealing with guests, vendors and team members
- team player, working with other sales associates to reach monthly and daily sales goals
- strong attention to detail and proactivity
- ability to multi-task, follow-up and work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- capability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- demonstrated reliability, punctuality and adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures
- must hold a valid driver’s license

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service
- welcome guests and educate them about wines and experiences
- create and execute exclusive experiences for customers
- confidently discuss wines, varietals, winemaking, viticulture practices, and winery history
- promote wine sales and non-wine products
- drive new memberships to the Wine Club
- focus on closing sales and up-selling
- collect customer contact information
- host specialty programs, lunches, or dinners
- represent the winery at offsite and onsite special events
- maintain and expand wine and winery knowledge through training
- conduct daily seated tastings and private group tastings
- manage high volume transactions accurately using POS systems
- stock supplies and maintain retail displays
