Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified level sommelier preferred, introductory level required
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, POS, EATEC, IG with a strong knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to maintain POS and inventory systems
  • Ability to manage wine club and execute wine tastings
  • Ability to resolve guest issues promptly
  • Commitment to uphold company policies and Code of Conduct
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain front of house and back of house POS and inventory management systems
  • Maintain monthly wine club including charging clients, formatting wine descriptions, maintaining member list, and coordinating with members regarding receipts and shipping or pickup of wines
  • Execute wine classes and tastings, including maintaining attendee lists, processing payments, printing materials, and preparing event rooms
  • Maintain and organize wine presentations on the sales floor and in the back of house
  • Monitor inventory levels of wine, beer, and food, alerting Manager of low par levels
  • Greet and assist customers with product information and needs
  • Provide personal shopping assistance for guests in the lounge and via phone and email inquiries
  • Maintain client database and relationships, develop new client base through follow up correspondence and world class service
  • Collect and understand customers’ wine preferences, recommending wines accordingly
  • Use guest feedback to ensure service levels and departmental direction meet industry benchmarks
  • Ensure accurate and timely inventory submissions to Accounting
  • Take and reconcile physical inventory with counts, costs, promotions, and loss
  • Process invoices, transfers, and merchandise loss to Accounting daily
  • Resolve guest issues promptly and keep accurate records
  • Inform Manager of sales, operational, inventory or other issues
  • Monitor facility condition and report housekeeping items
  • Uphold company Code of Conduct and employment policies.
