Job Requirements

  • A strong desire to build a career in the beverage industry, and a passion for hospitality
  • must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds
  • comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment

Job Qualifications

  • Level 1 Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers, preferred
  • a strong passion for hospitality and wine service, with a willingness to learn and grow
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • basic understanding of food and beverage service standards
  • available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • positive, professional demeanor with an emphasis on providing warm, guest-centered service

Job Duties

  • Oversee and supervise the smooth flow of service during operational hours, ensuring excellent guest experiences
  • provide wine recommendations to guests, tailored to individual preferences, while enhancing their dining experience
  • support staff with wine knowledge, including informal wine training sessions to help them better serve guests
  • maintain the wine list and assist in inventory management and ordering, ensuring stock levels meet demand
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the bar area
  • collaborate with management on guest feedback and special requests to continually improve service quality
  • assist in daily setup, operations, and close-down procedures, ensuring the bar is always guest-ready
  • participate in pre-shift meetings and stay up to date with new wines and beverage offerings
  • resolve guest concerns swiftly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and retention
