Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or less of related work experience
  • ability to follow written verbal or diagrammatic instructions
  • ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions decimals and percentages
  • ability to file post and mail materials and provide basic direction
  • physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • ability to perform physical activities including climbing balancing stooping kneeling reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting grasping feeling talking hearing and repetitive motions
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • availability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or less of related work experience
  • ability to follow written verbal or diagrammatic instructions
  • ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions decimals and percentages
  • ability to file post and mail materials copy data from one record to another and provide basic direction
  • strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • knowledge of wine and spirits products is a plus

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt efficient and friendly customer service
  • smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • makes an effort to learn customers' names
  • assists customers by escorting them to products securing products loading or unloading heavy items making note of customer suggestions
  • answers the telephone promptly and provides helpful service
  • stocks rotates and faces product on shelves
  • supervises and assigns work for evening and part time crew
  • ensures department standards are met and handles customer issues
  • trains new employees
  • reviews out of stocks ad items and back stock
  • orders merchandise as directed and controls inventory
  • monitors sales regularly
  • meets with vendors to get point of purchase materials
  • oversees intercom selling and prices items for displays
  • makes sales suggestions and ideas to department manager
  • understands and practices proper sanitation procedures
  • maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
  • adheres to company policies and store guidelines
  • reports to work when scheduled and on time
