Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- advanced Wine or Sommelier Certificate
- minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the wine and/or hospitality industry
- master's degree preferred
- master sommelier or master of wine diploma preferred
- prior teaching experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare daily lesson plans for classes and teach classes as requested and scheduled
- administer lectures and hands-on classes on campus, off campus or remotely
- work as an advisor for students needing extra help or career guidance
- provide regular and constructive feedback to students
- evaluate and document student performance
- submit course grades promptly
- compile and present instructional material
- utilize the established syllabus and textbooks
- maintain records of student attendance and progress
- maintain discipline and order during instructional activities
- develop requisitions and manage inventory and costs for curriculum supplies
- communicate through appropriate channels
- enforce sanitation principles and college policies
- maintain and organize institute equipment and facilities
- support the mission and policies of the institute
- assume responsibility for classroom equipment and facilities
- perform other duties as assigned
