Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • advanced Wine or Sommelier Certificate
  • minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the wine and/or hospitality industry
  • master's degree preferred
  • master sommelier or master of wine diploma preferred
  • prior teaching experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily lesson plans for classes and teach classes as requested and scheduled
  • administer lectures and hands-on classes on campus, off campus or remotely
  • work as an advisor for students needing extra help or career guidance
  • provide regular and constructive feedback to students
  • evaluate and document student performance
  • submit course grades promptly
  • compile and present instructional material
  • utilize the established syllabus and textbooks
  • maintain records of student attendance and progress
  • maintain discipline and order during instructional activities
  • develop requisitions and manage inventory and costs for curriculum supplies
  • communicate through appropriate channels
  • enforce sanitation principles and college policies
  • maintain and organize institute equipment and facilities
  • support the mission and policies of the institute
  • assume responsibility for classroom equipment and facilities
  • perform other duties as assigned
