Job Requirements

  • FAA commercial single-engine land (SEL) pilot certificate
  • Instrument rating
  • FAA Class I or Class II medical certification
  • Minimum of 2000 flight hours (SEL) including verifiable low-level flight experience
  • Tailwheel endorsement with at least 200 hours of logged tailwheel time
  • Ability to pass flight interview with the AGFD Chief Pilot
  • Completion of post-offer medical/physical examination
  • Ability to meet driver's license requirements if driving is essential
  • Must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)

Job Qualifications

  • Instrument rating
  • FAA Class I or Class II medical certification
  • Minimum of 2000 flight hours (SEL) including verifiable low-level flight experience
  • Tailwheel endorsement with at least 200 hours of logged tailwheel time
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and their applications
  • Skilled in low level flight and aircraft maneuvering
  • Ability to communicate with Air Traffic Control
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities and mission profiles
  • Capability to fly internationally into Mexico

Job Duties

  • Operates single engine land aircraft, responsible for inspecting aircraft flight and maintenance records for compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations
  • Prepares all paperwork required by AGFD and Aviation Section
  • Assists with cleaning of aircraft and general maintenance of hangar and office facilities
  • Serves as chief pilot in his/her absence
  • Performs other duties as assigned
