Job Requirements

  • Ten or more years of wholesale fuel operations experience including dealer management, fuel pricing, maintenance and fuel distribution
  • Experience in transforming and building an effective organization
  • Excellent leadership skills to implement new business strategy
  • Excellent business communications skills both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented, flexible and creative, and highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently on confidential matters
  • Ability to work well under pressure balancing competing priorities and meeting strict deadlines
  • Comfortable working with different stakeholders and working collaboratively
  • Master’s degree strongly recommended
  • Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience using a CRM tool or other organizational tool to track leads
  • Positive, can-do attitude and creative thinking skills
  • Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving individual and group objectives
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Ability to travel extensively for new business and trade shows
  • Significant travel expected, potentially accounting for over 75 percent of working time
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Responsible for all aspects of wholesale fuels business performance in North America
  • Provide expertise and advice to Circle K Wholesale Fuels leadership and the Senior Leadership Team on overall business direction and performance
  • Develop growth strategy for all aspects of the wholesale business in conjunction with Circle K Wholesale Leadership Team
  • Directly manage the wholesale operations team and Dealer Business Managers
  • Implement strategy and build organizational capability across the organization in support of the agreed strategy
  • Achieve financial objectives including forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, managing expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Provide direction for all activities related to wholesale fuels operations including wholesale operations, facility management and maintenance, fuel supply and distribution, business retention and renewal strategy, and business development and growth
  • Collaborate closely with Wholesale Fuels Operations team, Franchise group, and Regional Business Unit departments concerning marketing plans and site approvals
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading publications, and participating in professional societies
  • Attend trade shows to exhibit supply offers
  • Contribute to team financial targets in line with company guidelines
