- Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the food distribution industry
- Knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver food products to retail stores, restaurants, and other establishments
- Load and unload food products onto delivery trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher, optimizing delivery times and minimizing delays
- Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or issues
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery manifests, invoices, and customer signatures
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper handling of food products and compliance with traffic laws
- Perform food preparation duties in the Freshies Commissary and Brick Oven Bakery when not performing delivery duties under supervision
