Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift at least 70 pounds
  • Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, and reach
  • Must be able to hear and respond to spoken instructions and audible alarms
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment, including hearing protection
  • Ability to see clearly at close and long distances, distinguish colors, and perceive depth
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to work in a moderate to high noise environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to physically assist and transport passengers in wheelchairs
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
  • Eligibility to acquire necessary credentials and clearances such as FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal as applicable

Job Duties

  • Assist passengers with mobility challenges in safely navigating through airport terminals
  • Roll customer-occupied wheelchairs safely through terminal and jet bridges
  • Lift and transfer disabled passengers with assistance between mobility devices and aircraft seats
  • Load and unload passenger luggage efficiently and safely
  • Operate baggage handling equipment such as conveyor belts and trolleys
  • Sort and route baggage to appropriate flights and carousels
  • Complete incident reports accurately
